​A wilful misspelling, The Carynx is the child of the Celtic Carnyx, part mythical creature, part ancient trumpet, and various attempts over the last five years to mechanically simulate the human larynx. It is a Chimera of musical instruments, failed experiments, horror movie props, and medical prostheses.
